Edale is inviting Labelexpo attendees to meet its team and discuss their technology and explore how they can help narrow web label converters diversify into a high potential, environmentally sustainable carton market. Edale says the company is an expert in single-pass carton production solutions and a supplier of technology to the packaging industry. Edale has a growing number of machine installations worldwide producing pharma, cosmetic, tobacco and food & beverage cartons.

In August of this year, Edale introduced its new generation FL5 Single-Pass Carton Production Line, boasting a web width of 600mm (24”) and a repeat size of up to 711.2mm (28”) greater than a B2 plus sheet size format.

Launching the next generation FL5 press is a source of great pride for us, states James Boughton, MD, Edale. He says, “This innovative technology equips us with print and converting capabilities equivalent to a B2 format offset press and die-cutter. While many carton houses are likely to integrate this capability in-house, the growing demand for value-added embellishments will likely to lead them to outsourcing work.

“We fully understand customers having to overcome the fear of transitioning from offset to flexo or even sheetfed to web-fed process.  It’s the fact that people cannot get their head around the improved workflow, the smaller footprint requirement, not only of the machine but the work in progress too, the single-person operation for all processes, and the one-pass production from blank roll to finished product, including all types of embellishment.”
